ProximityParks, the leading and pioneering investor and developer of last mile logistics parks in Mexico, continues to grow its property portfolio while deepening its commitment to society. ProximityParks Viaducto will be a state-of-the-art last mile industrial park, strategically located on Av. Viaducto Río de la Piedad is set to become one of the company’s flagship properties. It is also of special significance as it houses the first educational classroom within a ProximityParks project, created in collaboration with the organization Construyendo y Creciendo. This initiative is part of the company’s social responsibility program and aims to contribute to the personal and professional development of construction workers.
“The purpose of this classroom, and our partnership with Construyendo y Creciendo, is to promote education and literacy. We will offer free courses ranging from basic literacy to high school education, as well as human development workshops, digital skills training, and more,” said Mario Berlanga, CEO and Co-Founder of ProximityParks.
In Mexico, nine million people are employed in the construction sector, with an average of only five years of formal schooling. Through this project, ProximityParks strengthens its positive impact by fostering the human and professional development of construction workers, enabling them to improve their quality of life and that of their families.
The classroom is equipped with computers, internet access, and all the necessary learning materials. This facility makes it easier for students to attend, as they can conveniently access the classroom before or after their shifts, without the need for additional travel.

“At ProximityParks, we firmly believe in people’s development and in creating a positive impact in the cities where we operate. We are confident that this project will contribute to the individual and social progress of many workers,” said Maque Taja, Head of People & Culture at ProximityParks.
ProximityParks Viaducto joins the company’s 13 other last mile logistics parks in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara, totaling more than 300,000 square meters of space. ProximityParks also promotes environmental sustainability through its space renewal projects, use of renewable energy, water-saving equipment, electric fleet charging stations, and other features that contribute to the development of a more sustainable last mile logistics industry.
The ProximityParks Viaducto Classroom is part of the company’s ESG strategy by providing free access to educational programs and activities for those working in construction.
“We are very proud to open this educational classroom. We believe that our industry can be a driver of both economic and social development, and that is why we are committed to strengthening our ESG strategy through initiatives like this,” added Mario Berlanga.
